Africa Must Think is a provocative book that sets out to address the above problem. Though profound, the book is simple enough to be read and understood by all. Explaining why he employs short thought-nuggets to convey his message, the author states:

“There is an unfortunate saying that ‘the best way to hide something from Black people is to hide it in a book.’ This saying is used to highlight the willful illiteracy and tendency of our people to read or write anything of substance. … My aim is to speak pointedly on some issues facing people of African descent. The ‘nugget’-style writing is to encourage as many people as possible to read—then think and act differently.”—Author’s Preface

Africa Must Think is for those who want to know what’s really wrong with Africa, Africans, and Black people in general, and who seriously desire to do something about it. Thoughtful readers will, however, recognize that the book speaks to people of all races.
