(The graduation keynote address was given by Ghana’s former Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Georgina Theodora Wood). Earlier in the day, also gave a 2-hour lecture on “African Excellence”  at a retreat of  Year 2016-2018 Students in the Kufour Scholars Program (KSP). July 2-9, 2017—Africa Haguruka  Conference.  Guest Speaker at the annual Africa Arise & Shine International Conference in Kigali, Rwanda. (MEC is an international leadership training and missions conference; it is organized every 2 years by ALIVE-Nigeria, a non-profit organization of Adventist graduates and young professionals.) June 9-11, 2017—”Dunia ya Heri(“Land of Blessing”).Special guest at the inauguration of Dunia ya Heri  Children’s Home (or Orphanage). Dunia ya Heri  is a Swahili word that means “Land of Blessing.” The newly constructed Children’s Home is the first phase of the “African Family & Health Care” project at Yale Yale Puna, in the Kigamboni District of Tanzania. The facility was officially opened on Sunday, June 11, 2017, by Dr. Ulisubisya Mpoki, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health in Tanzania. Besides other government officials, the mayor of the region, the local chief of the area, and the news media, friends of “Dunia ya Heri” from several countries (e.g., Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, USA, etc.) were present to grace the occasion.

January 15, 2017: “Making Africa Great Again: Valuable Lessons from China.” A Presentation to representatives of the General Union of African Students’ in Tianjin ( GUAST), China. (NOTE: The city of Tianjin, being the fourth largest in China (after Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou), has a large number of African students studying in the area. The purpose of the meeting was to inspire, encourage, and challenge them to learn valuable lessons from China to be adapted to the challenges of the African continent).

November 14-15, 2016, Rethinking Education for the New Millennium. Supported Edaala (an EAGLESonline’s youth partner in Uganda) at the 2016 World Bank Group Youth Summit. Edaala’s proposal, titled “A Proposal to Significantly Reduce the Rate of Graduate Youth Unemployment in Uganda through A Graduate Agricultural Education Reform Trainee Program,” was one of the few select among the 1,800 submissions.
