Description
To a large extent, our gold is our God. How we deal with our money and material possessions reveals a lot about whether or not we are totally surrendered to the Lord. This is why the Bible gives considerable attention to financial stewardship.
With the exception of love, the Bible has more to say about money than any other subject. For example, whereas there are only about 500 verses on prayer and a little fewer than 500 verses on faith, when it comes to money there are over 2,350 verses! This is roughly twice as many as faith and prayer combined. Christ also spoke about money and possessions more than about Heaven and Hell combined.
Because money plays such a unique role in Scripture, it should come as no surprise that God uses our giving as a test of our commitment to Him. So important is this test that God considers it robbery when we refuse to give back to Him His tithes and offerings. (Tithing is God’s minimum standard, the starting point in Christian giving.)
God has promised to take care of all our needs if we trust Him with our material possessions. In this small volume, God Is Faithful, you will discover the blessings of willing and sacrificial giving. The book will also explain why financial stewardship is a journey of faith and a test of our commitment to the Lord.
